- After the Geto Boys, it seemed that rap couldn't get any more extreme or hardcore. But in 1994, Season of da Siccness proved that in fact it could. Thriving on shock value and outrageousness, Brotha Lynch Hung is to rap what grindcore bands like Cannibal Corpse and Carcass are to metal.

EBK4 is the third studio album by rapper Brotha Lynch Hung, released through Black Market Records on June 27, 2000 as a followup to 1997's Loaded. Some of the songs on the album were not completed (didn't have all the verses recorded, etc.) in time for the release date. Due to disputes with the record label over this and other issues, Black Market released the album without the consent of Brotha Lynch Hung, featuring other artists off the label to complete unfinished songs where extra verses were needed.
Overview[edit]
Despite the controversy surrounding its release, EBK4 is notable for featuring a guest appearance from Snoop Dogg on the track 'Dogg Market.' It is also notable for Lynch's cover of label-mate X-Raided's track 'Every Single Bitch' from his debut album, Psycho Active.

Season of da Siccness: The Resurrection is the debut studio album by American West Coast hip hop artist Brotha Lynch Hung. It was released February 28, 1995 through Black Market Records.
Background[edit]
Mann recorded and mixed the album in 1994 at Enharmonic Studio, Sacramento, California. The album is dedicated to Q-Ball (as stated in the album booklet), Mann's cousin who was murdered around the time of the album's creation. The song 'Liquor Sicc' touches on subjects of dealing with his death and retaliation. Personnel on the album include Brotha Lynch Hung, Mr. Doctor, Ron Foster, X-Raided, Zigg Zagg, Zoe, Sicx, Hyst, and Babe Reg.[1] Mann has stated that he produced, mixed and mastered the entire album himself, which to this day is the only album in which he has done this.[citation needed] The album was reprinted and re-released in 2005 as the original Black Market pressing is out of print. This re-release is distributed by IDN Distribution.
